Standards and Governance
PSE administers construction under the FIDIC suite — the Red Book where we act as the engineer on traditionally procured works, as at the Inyishi Dam and Water Supply scheme, and the Yellow Book for design-and-build arrangements. Donor-financed commissions follow the World Bank Environmental and Social Framework, which our supervision teams apply daily on the ACReSAL and L-PRES programmes. All civil and structural design is undertaken and signed off by COREN-registered engineers, and our ISO 9001 quality management system has commenced implementation — stated accurately, certification is not yet achieved, with documented procedures available for client inspection. Structural designs reference Eurocode and British Standards where appropriate, demonstrated in our UK practice, where the PSE231N rail signal cantilever was designed for a safety-critical operational railway environment, and in Nigerian work such as the R18 multi-storey residential design in Abuja.
